Dog Run
A dog run
(or sometimes called dog fences) is usually a large outdoor fenced area
in which a dog can be kept confined and get exercised. Since most dogs
will get into just about anything, a dog run would keep them safe from potential hazards such as poisonous plants, chemicals, or the street.
A dog run may be setup as a stand-alone fenced area, or attached to the side a house or an existing fence to save panels/cost. Most dog runs are either made of chain link fencing, or indivudal panels. Individual panels, or dog fences,
are generally more fexible because they allow you to change the shape
and the size of the dog run, as well as divide up into smaller
compartments to separate your dogs.

If you have a relatively small dog, you may only need a small dog run.
Some larger dogs are not known exercisers either. Working dogs,
especially herding dogs, usually require a larger space — they can feel
confined in a run that is too small. Unless you plan to offer the dog
other forms of exercise on a daily basis, consider a longer dog run for dogs with lots of energy, since keeping them active helps keep undesirable behaviours in check.
