I have been browsing through the long list of unwanted pets online today, and I came across this 9-year old doberman “Gina”. It’s fairly uncommon to see dogs of such an old age in the adoption list, as most people tend to adopt younger animals, so Gina’s chance of finding a good home is quite small. So I thought Gina could really use some additional advertising here!
I found this little 12 weeks old puppy “Madison” for adoption from http://www.paws.com.au, and was fascinated by the little story behind it.
A rescue group saved a female dog from the pound and turned out the dog was pregnant with 3 puppies already on their way out. Madison was one of the puppies. Unfortunately when Madison was taken to the vet at 6 weeks old for a check up it was discovered that Madison had a heart murmur, and it turned out that one of her arteries is too narrow and she will require surgery by a cardiologist or she will die in the not too distant future. Cody came to Porsche’s animal rescue in February last year from the local pound. He recovered from his mild mites issues and was adopted two months later. Unfortunately his new owner sold his cage and sent him packing along with it (OMG….). This other family didn’t want him and advertised him for sale, luckily Porsche’s animal rescue found his picture and contacted both parties straight away to discover what had happened, and collected him again.
